5. How to sew elastics and ribbons




 
1. Fold the elastic band into equal halves and cut it into two.




2. Fold the heel of the shoe as shown, then slot in one end of the elastic band by aligning the band with the folded heel (A).



3. Sew the band onto the shoe, preferably with pink- or black-coloured thread. DO NOT sew onto the lace as it is meant to be tightened when the shoe is put on.
4. Put on the shoe, stretch the elastic band across the foot to determine the position (on the elastic) where it should be sewn on the shoe. Cut away any excess band.
5. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for sewing the other end of the band.

6. How to bun your hair

Step 1

 
• Lightly spray hands with water.
• Gather hair and pull it back.
• Use a hair brush to smoothen unevenness.
• Create a ponytail by brushing hair up from jaw-line and back of the head to form a higher-positioned bun.
• Use an elastic hair band to secure the ponytail.

Step 2
 
• Separate ponytail into two.
• Take one half and twist the whole strand together, then use hair pins to hold up the coil.
• Do the same to the other half.

Step 3
 
• Wrap a fine hair net around the bun.
• Keep twisting and wrapping so that the bun is secured tightly by the hair net.
• To hold the bun firmly together, place hair pins at these positions:
12 / 3 / 6 / 9 o’clock.
